Born in Kentucky, and tracing his deep family roots to the hills and small towns of Eastern Kentucky’s coal country, Britton is a writer, multi-instrumentalist, producer, and singer who draws humbly and heavily from the spiritual connection between people and place. Britton delivers rough-hewn songs with a distinctive voice and acoustic warmth. Currently finishing work on his new LP, “I Wanna Start a Band,” Britton believes in the power of collaboration and has written, played with, or collaborated with numerous artists, including grammy-nominated Darrell Scott, Tim O’Brien, former Johnny Cash band-mate and award winning bassist Dave Roe, songwriter Malcolm Holcombe, Grammy-nominated Verlon Thompson, and has produced works for Kentucky award-winning writer Tiffany Williams, Maine singer/songwriter Sara Trunzo and Alabama songwriter Casey Lambert. Britton was invited by BMI to perform at the Key West International Songwriters Festival.
